MANILA — Commanding officers of the Army and Navy on Saturday reiterated the military’s commitment to the Constitution amid rumors of destabilization and ahead of parallel rallies of the Iglesia ni Cristo and of an organization led by retired military officers and personnel.
Both the INC, which has a three-day rally planned at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila and the United People’s Initiative, which expects 300,000 people to mass up at the People Power Monument in Quezon City, have said they will be holding peaceful gatherings.
